Mom : Will Tote
Big Tobacco Messed with the Wrong Moms!
PAVe is a national advocacy and education nonprofit founded in 2018 by three New York City moms — Dina Alessi, Meredith Berkman, and Dorian Fuhrman — as a grassroots response to the youth vaping epidemic.
A meaningful donation will be made to PAVe with every item purchased from our 'Mom' collection.
The catalyst for PAVe was their discovery in April, 2018 that a JUUL representative had entered their sons’ high-school through an outside anti-addiction group, without the school’s knowledge, and told the 9th-grade students, without adults present, that JUUL was “totally safe” and would receive FDA approval “any day.” (Their Congressional testimony, along with that of their sons, about this incident was cited by FDA as evidence that JUUL had marketed directly to kids.)
Since PAVE was launched in 2018, they have proven the proposition that parents have a uniquely powerful and essential voice in the fight to keep Big Tobacco and its predatory actions away from our kids.
The youth vaping crisis remains at epidemic levels.
Founded, run and powered by parent volunteers, PAVe supports ending the sale of all flavored e-cigarettes and all menthol and other flavored tobacco products. We provide free training, materials and technical support so that our volunteers can educate others in their own communities about the dangers of vaping and the predatory behavior of Big Tobacco.
